For Traders

Many apps let you trade on Aevo through their own interface: trading terminals, bots, wallets and AI agents. With Builder Codes, these apps can charge a small fee on the trades they place for you, but only after you approve them.

Approving a builder

When an app asks you to approve it, you'll see its name, its builder ID and the maximum fee it may charge, for example 5 bps (0.05%) of the trade's notional. You approve with a wallet signature. It costs no gas.

• The app can charge up to that maximum per trade, never more.

• The fee is paid in USDC on each fill and shown separately from Aevo's trading fee.

• Aevo also caps builder fees for everyone: at most 5 bps on perpetuals, and at most 3 bps on options, never more than 5% of the option's premium.

What you pay

Each fill in your trade history shows the builder, the builder fee rate and the builder fee.

• Perpetuals: the rate × the trade's notional. At 3 bps, a $10,000 trade pays $3.

• Options: the rate × the index notional, capped at a share of the option's premium, so cheap options stay cheap to trade. See Perpetuals vs Options Fees.

Viewing and revoking approvals

Go to Settings → Builders → Connected Builders to see every builder you've approved and its maximum fee. Select Revoke to stop a builder charging you. It takes effect immediately, and any of its orders still resting on the book are charged a builder fee of zero.

Staying safe

• Approving a builder only allows it to charge a fee. The approval by itself gives the app no access to your account or funds.

• Apps that trade for you use an API key and a trading (signing) key that you create when you connect to them. These keys can place and cancel orders but can't withdraw or transfer your funds, because withdrawals always need your wallet's signature.

• To fully disconnect an app, revoke its builder approval and remove the API key and signing key it uses, under Settings → API Keys. Revoking the builder alone stops the fees, not the app's trading access.

• Check the builder ID. Builder names are chosen by builders. Make sure the builder ID matches the one the app publishes.

• Only connect apps you trust.
